A Barn Full of Puppies!

A barn filled with 16 puppies is keeping us quite busy at Top of the Hill Labs. We're having so much fun watching these adorable

Chevy's puppies are doing great . . .eating lots of puppy "smush", playing and still nursing from Momma Chevy a few times each day.  Here are a few short video clips of them playing - so cute!

Willow's puppies had their first taste of puppy food tonight and really enjoyed their first meal. These 7 puppies are finally starting to play and explore the big world around them. We hope you enjoy the short videos of them playing and some pictures of their first taste of puppy food.

First Taste of Puppy Food . . . So Cute!

Willow's Puppies Two Weeks Old

It's always amazing to see how much our puppies grow from week to week.  It's also interesting to see the developmental differences between litters of puppies.  Willow is a momma dog who makes LOTS of milk and that is quite evident in the size of her puppies. With lots of milk and only 7 puppies to feed . . . these puppies are quite healthy, but still mostly interested in eating and sleeping.  They all have their eyes open but there's little interest in walking around and playing (and no need to introduce puppy food yet).

We hope you enjoy these pictures. Maybe by this weekend they'll be walking around/playing and we can post a short video.  Enjoy!

Willow's Puppies Visit the Vet

After a successful graduation party this weekend it was time to head to our vet today for a 6-week Wellness Check for Willow's puppies. Once all puppies were identified with either a collar (or painted nails since one collar was too small!!), we loaded all 8 puppies into laundry baskets and made the quick trip to our vet.

As you can see from the pictures below the puppies were quite playful but soon they all settled down for a quick nap.  All puppies were weighed and given a thorough check-up by our vet and all were quite healthy. The puppies weighed from 12.1 lbs. (female) to a whopping 15.3 lbs. (yellow male). The puppies received their first set of shots and then it was time to head home. This group of puppies will be heading to their new homes this weekend.  Enjoy the pictures!

Willow's Puppies 5/12 Weeks Old

Willow's puppies had so much fun playing outside last night (and we had fun taking lots of pictures and playing!!)  We hope you enjoy this short video.  Puppies are heading to the vet next Monday and we will be contacting everyone soon to set-up date/time for puppy pick-up.  Enjoy the video!

Willow's Puppies - Four Weeks Old (almost!)

After returning home from an amazing high school baseball game tonight, we brought Willow's puppies outside for a fun photo shoot. Willow's puppies will be four weeks old tomorrow and we've started the weaning process.  They have really taken to puppy food and are spending a lot more time exploring and playing.

My Canon camera stopped working just when these puppies were born and is apparently unrepairable, so sad!  So . . . I'm doing my best taking photos with my iPhone.  Seems to be OK, just not what I'm used to!!  Camera shopping soon, I hope.  Enjoy the photos!

NOTE . . . for anyone looking for a puppy there are still 2 black males available from this litter!

Willow's Puppies TWO WEEKS Old!

Willow's puppies were two weeks old on Friday and by Saturday morning everyone had their eyes open! We've had a busy weekend on the farm with spring planting, a trip to Columbus for our son's State FFA degree and senior prom . . . but finally had time this afternoon to take all 8 puppies outside for a bit of sunshine and some quick photos.
